This late 20th century haori is fabulous. The pinkish lavendar color is beautifully serene. A pattern of leaves and berries is woven into the silk fabric. Then the traditional techniques of shibori and yuzen are added. These mutliple techniques create rich textural depth and pattern interest. The lining is also silk and features orange and brown pottery.
This garment is in pristine condition. The presence of basting threads indicates that it may never have been worn. The size is a little larger than standard.
