This larger Naruoko kokeshi measures 11.5 inches and makes the distinctive squeaky crying sound when the head is turned. The round head has vibrant black and red painted features. Her lightly painted mouth is nearly faded away. Distinctive rings of black and red adorn her rounded shoulders and the bottom of the body. Her body narrows slightly in the middle and is decorated with the crysanthemum motif. Although previously owned, this doll still has it's original foil sticker. The wood has a soft, yellow patina from age. There are a few scuff marks and indentations, as well as one or two areas of fading from moisture. Small imperfections like these can be expected in vintage, pre-ownded items.
