Vintage 9" kokeshi doll in traditional naruko style. This style has a head that turns, making a squeaking or "crying" sound. This dolls features are distinctive and reminiscent of an older and wiser woman. Her head is roundish and flat on top. Her shoulders are square and her body tapers in at the middle. This older doll is well worn with a golden brown patina. There are several scuffs and faded areas--still charming!
