Delightful contemporary kokeshi doll in natural wood finish measures 8 7/8". Oblong-shaped body with hand painted orange and white flowers. The round head is a separate piece with painted features. The full, long hair with top knot is fashioned from extra pieces of wood and accentuates the grain of the wood. Additional accents are added with woodburning. Unsigned. Condition is good with chipping of painted flowers and age crack on back bottom.
